We met at 8:30 to offload boats and gear, sign paperwork, pay the launch fee.

We ran shuttle and started launching boats. The put in is concreted with a little muddy patch at the end. Brent Smith helped get people in the water. It was a bit like herding cats.

The current was flowing, and we did not have to paddle much to keep moving. There were small riffles to make it fun and keep you on your toes.

We stopped several times to swim, eat, and regroup. It was a slow paddle, but we still got to the takeout by 2:00 pm.

We had fun on the
HCC Day Trip on the Colorado River. Big shout out to Tim Brooking for coordinating the shuttle. The weather was wonderfully warm and the water wonderfully cool.

We saw eagles, egrets, and osprey.
