 Description:

Pack your Solo Canoe for a Multi-day Self-Supported Trip

Christy Long

Christy Long has been a Houston Canoe Club member for thirteen years. She has served one year each in the position of Recorder and Commodore, and has been serving on the Nominating Committee for the last 5 years. Christy has been camping and paddling for the last twenty-five years. She began car camping so she could paddle several days in a row. Then, through Houston Canoe Club members, she discovered expedition paddling and a whole new experience opened up for her. As a member of the club and going on club trips, she learned how to pack for several types of trips. She will share her knowledge of some of those techniques on how to plan and pack a solo canoe for a multi-day self-supported river trip.

Be sure to set this date aside on your calendar, then come out and support your club.

Vice Commodore,
Alice Nissen
