The HCC elections were held at the November 8th general membership meeting.

The first order of business was to vote on a proposal to change the Constitution to eliminate the 5-year term limit provision for officers, and the motion was passed. See the separate article in this newsletter here for more details. 

Following that, the nominating committee head, Christy Long, called for any further nominations from the floor, and none were forthcoming. The vote for the slate of candidates was then held by Commodore Honey Leveen via a show of hands. All of the candidates, who ran unopposed, were elected to serve another one-year term, which commences January 1st, 2018. All board members are the same as last year, except for Alice Nissen who replaces the retiring Ann Derby as Vice Commodore.
