Boquillas Canyon is a 35 mile river trip in the eastern portion of the Big Bend National Park. The trip usually begins at Rio Grande Village. The first day, paddlers enter the deep limestone canyon in which they will paddle for the next 25 miles before exiting into the open desert for the remainder of the trip. Although there are only a few challenging rapids in this section of the Rio Grande, the moving water and occasional rock garden will provide the thrills and excitement of this wild and scenic river trip.
