As I was searching out the Wood Buffalo park site, I found this very interesting page from the Canadian Parks people, a very thorough discussion of how to class the difficulty of what one may be paddling. I really like the three point perspective. Thought it might be fun for the newsletter rather than just putting it out on the forum. Make sure you scroll down to the bottom to see all three guides. Ah those Canadians, they have this canoeing thing down to a science.
