Our guest speaker for the month of February was Edward Lowe with “Friends of the Brazos River". We appreciate you so much for your hard effort to have traveled from the Dallas area to bring to HCC an up to speed status of the Brazos River from his neck of the woods. What is happening up-river can very easily happen to our rivers throughout the state of Texas.

HCC Vice Commodore Philip Matticks presented Edward Lowe with a book autographed by author Natalie Wiest, who is also a long time member of HCC. 

 

Involvement is so important to us all so that our children and their children can enjoy the waterways as we have in the past.  And as so many individuals continue their fight in order to enjoy this leisure life of paddle today, our hats are off to you all!
