Club Members and Guest,
Please join us in what we hope will be an annual HCC paddle and dinner event Saturday July 30th, from 5.30PM to 8.30PM. Dinner will be served at 6:30 PM. Bring your lawn chairs, your boat of choice, as well as family or others interested in the sport of canoeing/kayaking.
We will be paddling shortish routes on the beautiful and easily accessible Brooks Lake (see photos) behind the Marriott Courtyard in Sugar Land. As Brooks Lake offers calm water, and is an easy put in/take out, it will be an ideal time to introduce new paddlers to our sport and is also a great place to paddle even for the most seasoned of boaters.
We will have catered chicken quesadillas, chicken wings and iced tea. Feel free to bring a small side dish or desert if you wish. We will have access to the Courtyard’s facilities but most of our activities will be outdoors on their patio or in Brooks Lake. We ask that you register on the HCC website so we have an accurate count for the caterer. Those boating will also need to provide their ACA number or sign a waiver and pay a $10 fee to protect the club from legal liability.
