Mark Kramer, Conservation Director and Chief Naturalist Emeritus at Armand Bayou Nature Center, has recently published (June 2021) a book entitled Armand Bayou Illustrated: A Life on the Bayou that chronicles his childhood years on the bayou and includes the history of Armand Bayou Nature Center as well as the native people on the bayou. The longest chapters discuss bayou and prairie ecology. It includes outstanding wildlife photography from award winning photographer Gary Seloff.
The book is available both as a paperback and as an eBook from Amazon or Barnes & Noble. Consider buying both of them. Two advantages of the eBook are that it contains hypertext links to Mark’s YouTube videos and blog posts, and that the photographs can be enlarged by clicking on them.
