During the March meeting of the HCC Board, I was asked whether I had made any new videos of Lake Charlotte in the winter. All of us had a lot on our plates during the 2021 Valentine’s Day freeze (aka Winter Storm Uri), so I wasn’t able to return to the swamp then. But I did go back and revisit some of the videos from the 2018 cold snap. The first one focuses on the winter beauty of the swamp, while the second one includes short clips of a paddler in a canoe (Paul Woodcock) and one in a kayak (Tom Douglas) as they make their way through the ice. Now that some of the pain from our recent winter storm is subsiding, I hope that you will enjoy them.
