What: Banding and observations of nestling red-cockaded woodpeckers with Donna Work, biologist with the Texas A&M Forest Service.
When: Tuesday May 11, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Where: W. G. Jones State Forest, near Conroe, TX (Located only one mile from the West Fork of the San Jacinto River and Interstate 45, this forest is recognized by American Bird Conservancy as one of the 500 most important birding areas in North America.)

To protect the nesting birds, attendance is limited. (The nesting area is otherwise closed to the public from March 15 through July 15.)
