I am planning to make the following trips over the next few weeks. If you’d like to participate, let me know.
February 6- Brazos River, SH 159 to FM 529, 20.5 miles
February 13- San Bernard River, FM 1301 to Hansen Riverside Park, 10.5 miles (unknown, potentially difficult condition)
February 20- Abandoned crab trap removal program- Christmas Bay- maybe some paddling in the shallow areas of the bay
February 27- Colorado River, FM 950 near Garwood to FM 960 near Glen Flora, 28.0 miles
All of these are set up for registration through the HCC website, just to help me track interest.
I’ll start loading the calendar for March and April in the next day or so. Also, let me know if you have any interest in paddling during the week. We currently have a trip on the calendar for February 9, on the Trinity as a joint project with HASK. It’s roughly 27.5 miles from SH 105 to US 90. I’d like to start setting up trips for Tuesday or Wednesday occasionally, just to see more river.
