I’m planning to do a paddle from FM 50 on Yegua Creek to SH 105 on the Brazos, on Satuurday August 29. Barring tropical storm issues, the weather should be warm but bearable and the river low but manageable. The distance scales at 19.4 miles, but call it 20 to be safe.
This route will involve picking our way around/through Hidalgo Falls, which should be entertaining. It will also give us the opportunity to look at the remains of the lock and dam system that was supposed to assist boat/barge traffic move up river to the “Port of Waco”.
This trip is on the HCC calendar for HCC members to accumulate mileage. Social distancing/mask protocols will be observed for shuttles and onshore activities.
Respond directly to me if you wish to attend.
