In our Brave New World of viral pandemic, the Houston Canoe Club is going to have an online General Meeting, for all club members and anyone else who is interested. We will be using the Zoom technology to accomplish this. The meeting format will be similar to our usual in-person meetings, with a brief business meeting followed by a presentation. You'll get to hear a little more about paddling trips going on, our plans for future trips, and then a lot about birding from boats. Our presenter is Celeste Silling from the Gulf Coast Bird Observatory, talking about the how and why of studying birds.
Registration through our online Event Calendar is not required, but appreciated to give us an idea of how many folks to expect. You should download the application Zoom (
https://zoom.us/download) in advance or you can wait until you are logging in to the meeting and it should download automatically. You can use a pc, a Mac, or cell phones. There is a lot more information at the Zoom site, and you can cross your fingers for me as the meeting administrator. You should be able to join simply by clicking on the link below.
