About this event

This is a fifteen mile run on the Colorado River from Utley (FM 969 bridge) to Bastrop (Fishermens Park boat ramp). This stretch of the Colorado is a popular one for recreational paddling all year long. It contains Boy Scout Island (a popular camping site) and a few little rock garden rapids just above Bastrop.

We will meet at 0800 at Bastrop and shuttle up to Utley for a pleasant and non competitive run just to check out river conditions and enjoy the day on the Colorado. There are no unusual hazards in this segment other than a couple small rapids (Class 1 ).
