HOUSTON CANOE CLUB GENERAL MEETING
April 8th, 2015

7:10 - The Commodore, Harmon Everett, called the meeting to order and asked the members to try to keep things brief, so the meeting could end on time. He then noted the pre-meeting meal, the post-meeting bacchanal at Jax's, and introduced the officers.
7:12 - The Safety Minute was given by Fraser Baker on diabetes awareness, and a Safety 10-seconds by Frank Ohrt, on the fact that waves can have rocks inside.
7:15 - Terry Herdlicka's nomination for Boatswain was unanimously approved.
7:16 - The Purser, Bob Naeger, reported the state of the club's finances. We're doing fine.

7:17 - The Boatswain, Terry Herdlicka, reported that the club had three new members, including Jessica Kuhn, who was present.
7:19 - The Fleet Captain, Terri Morgan, called for trip reports, which were given, and announcements of future trips, which were also given.
7:45 - The Commodore, Harmon Everett, spoke about the various efforts to publicize the club and its activities, and several members gave suggestions.
7:55 - Louis Aulbach and Fraser Baker gave a presentation on paddling Boquillas Canyon. The next time Louis goes, the entire club is going with him.
